Artificial intelligence will have a growing impact on every aspect of our society. It is not a specific innovation, but a general purpose technology that will have consequences similar, or even greater, than those of the electricity or the internet. We do not know well when and how, but for sure everything – from work to public services, from finance to medicine, to our most general participation in the society – will be affected and deeply disrupted by the AI.
This will bring on the table new unexpected problematics and opportunities on which the legislator will be called to legislate, or not. For this reason, Pi Campus merged with the Italian Parliament’s Intergroup on AI to organize a workshop for public administrators with the aim to inform Italian politicians on the most important aspects of the AI and provide them with some of the most important information required to face the new challenges.
