MIOAssicuratore joins Pi Campus

Carlo Martini and Giorgio Campagnano, founders of MIOAssicuratore

We are glad to announce we invested in MIOAssicuratore, one of the first online insurance brokers founded in 2015 by Giorgio Campagnano, the last of five generations of insurers, and Carlo Martini, a developer with previous experiences in Italy and abroad, both 27 years old.

MioAssicuratore joined the Pi Campus internship program in September 2015, and is now growing at a 30 percent rate month on month.

Leveraging proprietary algorithms and machine learning technologies, the startup’s platform evaluates all the characteristics both of the risk and the customer, and allows you to calculate and easily compare quotes from 27 partners among the top European insurances providers for any given product (not only cars, motorcycles and travel as main comparators do), illustrating differences among policies quotes.

The total amount of the investment is 300.000 Euros. We invested together with H-Farm Ventures and business angels such as Vito Lomele, founder of Jobrapido.

Marco and Carlo founded MIOAssicuratore to help users understand their covers, solving three problems:

  • reduce the time to calculate the insurance quote;
  • make the insurance easy to understand;
  • simplify and organize deadlines, renewals, and claims management.

In the case of an accident, MIOAssicuratore intervenes alongside the customer in the management and resolution of practice.

MIOAssicuratore works with 27 partner companies and distributes more than 250 insurance products to more than 100,000 registered users, profiled according to their insurance needs.

With the funds raised, we aim to hire talent to help us grow, improve our AI algorithms, and develop new marketing strategies,” said Giorgio Campagnano.

During our internship at Pi Campus we increased focus and growth on primary objectives,” said Carlo Martini.
