Fireside chat with Samantha Cristoforetti

Samantha Cristoforetti is an European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut. Between November 2014 and June 2015, she spent 199 days on board the International Space Station as a Flight Engineer for Expedition 42 and 43. During ASI’s Futura Mission, Samantha conducted experiments in the Station’s laboratories. She is a Captain in the Italian Air Force.

She recently published a book in which she recounts the long journey to the launch pad and her extra-terrestrial life on humanity’s outpost in space
