The Creative Express is coming to Pi Campus

On May 18th and 19th, we’ll be hosting The Creative Express Rome, an event organized by the Art Directors Club of Europe, a non-profit organization founded to foster excellence in graphic design and advertising creativity on a European scale. The event will bring together 28 of the top European art directors, designers, and copywriters under 28 years old to foster entrepreneurship among designers.

Pi Campus is sponsoring the event as part of our strategy to go a step forward in defining how art, design, and lifestyle will power the upcoming technologies and invest in startups co-founded by designers.

The Creative Express comes to Rome after visiting Helsinki, Munich, Tyrol, Amsterdam, and Vienna. Every edition brings together the continent’s best young creatives to tackle a real-world business challenge in a classroom like no other. The Creative Express Rome will be the first to focus on startups.

Co-founded by the Creative Europe Programme – created by the European Commission to fund development in the creative and cultural sectors – the event forms a key milestone in the ADCE’s remit to provide professional training and to promote young European creatives.

Together with Creative Express director HP Albrecht, our founder Marco Trombetti will challenge 28 young creatives to develop in just two days a communication campaign aimed at inspiring designers around the world to unite with engineers to found new startups. The final projects will be presented during an invitation-only event at Pi Campus.

The attendees, split into five teams, will be mentored by an array of high-profile creative directors. These include Ricardo Wolff, Creative Director at DDB Berlin (DE), Samuel López, Creative Director at Sr. y Sra. Wilson (ES) and Hannes Böker, Creative Director at Team Robert Rottensteiner (AT), and Patrizia Boglione, creative strategic director at Angelini Design.
