We are super excited to announce that Translated, our founding company, has closed a $ 30 million investment round with Ardian, a world-leading private investment house. The French firm has joined the founder Isabelle Andrieu and Marco Trombetti in their mission of allowing everyone to understand and be understood in his own language. Ardian has invested $25 million via the Ardian Growth fund in order to help Translated growing even faster and scale the adoption of its AI-powered tools in Europe and the US.

Translated is an Italy and US-based company that pioneered the use of artificial intelligence to help professional translators. Founded in 1999, it has become a leading language service provider thanks to its translation and localization platform that offers cutting-edge tools such as ModernMT (a renowned proprietary neural machine translation software), Matecat (AI-powered computer-assisted translation tool that enables professionals to translate better and faster), and Matedub (a tool that enables video dubbing by simple editing a text), plus a unique network of 200,000 professional translators.
Over the last many years, the company has been experiencing a consistent 30% organic growth year on year. Thanks to its highly scalable technology, Translated is now able to serve small and medium-sized businesses as well as global tech platforms including Airbnb, Google, and Uber.
